Seasons Change. You Should Too.

It's all happening—

Last week my kiddos went back to school, and like most families, there is a significant energy shift in our home.

Over the last several weeks, I've done my best to get my self-care game on lock.

My summer rhythm was tremendous, and I attempted a 75 days challenge, but on day 43, my household got struck with the stomach flu, and I wound up drinking Pedialyte and sleeping for three days.

It took me about a week to get back onto my nutrition protocol and workout schedule, but I've learned to be careful about perfectionism over the years.

I've got no issue with boldly pulling away from stuff that doesn't work.

If my body is telling me it wants a treat or a feast, I don't immediately give in; most of the time, I don't, but I no longer restrict or shame myself when I need a break from the gym or some time to eat whatever I want.

As you approach the new season, take time to witness what works and consider what your soul craves.

Don’t be afraid to course correct and walk away from strategies that aren't working.

I'm a creator and a business owner, and if I followed every idea and got stubborn about finishing every project, I would never get anything done!

Sometimes stalling out on a project or even agreeing that I'm not a good fit for a client is an excellent learning opportunity because I trust my intuition or "inner guidance system," as I call it.

I always think about what lesson or skill I can take away from a situation. In hindsight, we can uniquely interpret our lives and see the benefits of change.

It's a great way to avoid needless stress.

Align with your core values and stick to those versus doing life the way you think you should or have in the past.

Routines can change, but your innermost relationship with yourself and the needs of your loved ones usually don't.

You may be craving change for a reason, so don't be afraid to take a risk.

We need to grow, and while that is uncomfortable, it ultimately gives our family tribe the rhythm it needs.

Food, clothing, shelter, and above all, LOVE are what we all need.

Enjoy the coming fall.

St. Louis is fantastic in the fall once the summer heat passes. It is just chilly enough for my favorite hoody and warm enough for flip-flops.

Wherever you call home, stay chill and seek peace.

Shine on, my friend!
