From Burnout to Clarity and Momentum

I know firsthand how burnout creeps in — especially when your career looks great on paper.

I was a humanities nerd who studied philosophy and psychology as an undergrad. Graduating just before the financial crisis, grad school wasn’t in the cards just yet.

I needed a job, so I took a night-shift position at a small county hospital. I’ve always wanted to help people, and working in healthcare gave me a strong sense of purpose. Over time, I continued my education and worked my way up through the complex world of healthcare.

My career spanned the emergency room, a busy trauma ICU, and complex pediatric cases in a transitional rehabilitation hospital. I learned resilience and empathy one shift at a time, working alongside hundreds of remarkable professionals determined to make a difference.

Over time, I transitioned into medical sales, using my clinical background to bridge the gap between patient care and business. But the grind, stress, and constant pressure eventually took their toll.

By 2019, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and questioning the life I had built.

I had a wife, two amazing kids, and the life I thought I’d always wanted, but deep down, I knew I needed a change. Blessed with a partner who encouraged me to go for it, I made a bold shift as I approached midlife.

That November, I drove to Chicago for my first iPEC training weekend. What began as a workshop became a calling. I earned my certification, created my own coaching framework, and began working with a variety of clients.

What I’ve found is that working with heart centered professionals who care deeply about both their careers and their families is where my passion truly lies.

As of 2025, I’ve logged thousands of hours working with individuals one on one, in groups, and as a public speaker, guiding busy adults through burnout, transition, and helping them build authentic lives.

My approach is simple.

I don’t use “tough love” or any shame based techniques. I create honest, grounded conversations that get to the root of what’s holding my clients back.

If my story resonates, let’s explore what working together could look like.
